Salaam Urban Village Association (“SUVA”) is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, currently serving East-African refugees, immigrants, and asylees residing in Greater Seattle Area, WA. Through its culturally relevant services, SUVA strives to create supportive environment to its clients, and ultimately, help them become a contributing member of their society.

 Youth Programs 
SUVA’s Youth Program focuses on academic and cultural enrichment activities, including after-school tutoring and mentoring. The Program encourages students to achieve academic excellence, build strong leadership, team, and communication skills, and aims to increase parental/guardian involvement and support in students’ educational pursuits.

 

Adult and Senior Services
The adult and senior services offer case management, advocacy, counseling, therapy, citizenship/naturalization assistance, and referral services in culturally, linquistically, and socially-competent environment.
Interpretation/Translation Services
Interpretation and/or translation services are available in Amharic, Tigrigna, Oromo, Arabic, Spanish, and French. Service fees apply.
