Amanuel Yohannes is the founder and Executive Director of SUVA. Since he immigrated from his homeland of Eritrea, East Africa, Amanuel has stepped into a role as a community leader in the City of Seattle.
Amanuel Yohannes knows first hand the challenges faced by immigrant and refugee families. He has worked relentlessly to support immigrant and refugee families providing counseling, referral services, translation and a supporting presence.
Amanuel brings extensive skills and experience to his leadership role as SUVA. He is fluent in several languages, has owned and operated successful businesses in both his homeland of Eritrea and in his new home in Seattle, Washington. He has expertise in developing innovative programs and services.
